The Nature of Constants in Go

William Kennedy, managing partner at Ardan Studios and creator of Going Go Programming, dives into how Go’s type system handles constants.

Constants are not read only variables, nor are they bound to a strict type system. They exist within the scope of the compiler and have the flexibility to be implicitly converted where variables do not.

In this talk, William explores the real nature of constants and how they give this type safe language the flexibility to work with different kinds of data values.
